Cats of Bengal mostly look like the wild Asian Leopard cats. In other words, this feature of the Bengal cats makes them look wild with spotting and resetting style over their bodies. These Bengal breeds are normally big and sleek in size and many of them look like the big cats (tigers) at times. A bushy thick tail is one of its main features. They weigh between seven to twenty pounds generally and the male cats are normally bigger in size than their female counterparts. Now, how would you recognize them? It is not a difficult task indeed. The Bengal cats usually have ‘mascara’ or horizontal stripes over their face. In addition, most parts of their body are marked with spots that are similar to the spots on the body of the jaguars. However, their legs and tails are a bit different. They generally have symmetrical stripes that are unlike the spots and marks on the rest of their bodies. As far as the color of their bodies is concerned, silver and brown are the two most common shades. One of the most interesting features of the Bengal cats is the combination of golden and pearly dusting effect. You will be astonished to know that their voice is quite different from the voice of the other house cats.
Speaking about the genetics of the Bengal cats, they are relatively a new breed. In fact they are the cross breed of Asian leopard cat and domestic cats. Although they descend from the leopard cats and look wild, their nature is totally different; they are homely and soft. However, both the male and female breeds of Bengal cats are extremely vocal. Bengal cats are extremely vivacious and fun loving. They are sprightly little pets that seem to enjoy every moment of their life. They keep their owners enchanted by their lively antics. The Bengal cats normally like to play with water and are very affectionate. In addition, they are extremely domestic in character and to tame them is quite easy.
