Napoleon Cats
Cats are favorite pets for many people. They are jovial and loving in nature and this is the reason why they can become great companions for men and women in their loneliness. Keeping cats many a times is not only a matter of hobby but some times they are kept for certain customary beliefs also. There are many countries where cats are considered to be the harbinger of fame and fortune. In such countries, they are admired more than in other countries. Apart from these beliefs, cats are also considered symbols of grace and style.
On many occasions, cats have been considered to be the best companions of the queens. Other than the original breeds of cats, there are also the hybrid cats that are quite new in the domain of this species. Among these newly hybrid cats, Napoleon cats have become interestingly famous. These are mainly short-legged cats that have come into existence very recently.
It was only in the year 2002 when this particular hybrid of Napoleon cats was brought into existence. This Napoleon cat is a combination of Munchkin and Exotic Persian cats especially of the Himalayan breeds. As per the mutation of two cross breeds, Napoleons bear features of both its contributing parents. The cat, in fact, looks interesting, having certain unique features of its own.
Napoleons are comparatively strong cats and they have heavy bones and short legs. They bear traits that are somewhere between the Persians and Munchkins. Their heads are rounded and so are their eyes. Most of the Napoleon cats have a fine layer of coat that shines beautifully. The length of the fur is long in some of them like the Persians and much shorter in others like the Exotics. Their coats are colorful and attractive. After tallying the cross-breed features, it is found that generally a pure Napoleon cat is 25% Munchkin and 75% Persian in all features. However, there are exceptions at times. Most of these Napoleons do not have snub noses.
What pleases most about these Napoleons is their pleasant and friendly character. Not only do they resemble their parents in their physical traits, they take a lot from them in terms of temperament and demeanor. They have a fine combination of both the Persian and Munchkins. They are highly affectionate and are easy to tame. Most of them, like their fellow cats, are playful and love fun. In fact they are one of the loveliest breeds of cats and are jovial in nature. These cats can be great play partners and at the same time they are intelligent enough to be of some use to their owners. Due to this reason, Napoleon cats are kept by the farmers to chase rats and other rodents away. If trained properly, they can learn many things quickly and can perform great service to their owners. With their soft and sweet look, they can easily win the hearts of even those who are not natural cat lovers. If you are planning to keep a cat at your place, then keeping a Napoleon breed will be a good idea.
