Ocicat

There are several types of cats all over the world. They vary greatly depending upon their nature, structure and availability. Ocicat is mainly a crossed-breed having Siamese and Abyssinian cats as their parents. In addition to this, later American Shorthairs or silver tabbies were also mingled into this group. This is the reason why their external appearance has undergone a change and it has taken a silver shape. Their bone structure is quite strong. The Ocicats have a muscular body that can well defend itself. As the species has wild blood into its veins, it has certain sporting traits that dominate over its domestic features. However, it is not wild thoroughly and has a sufficiently calm temperament when it is tamed.

So far as the habits and features of Ocicats are concerned; they are extroverts that love all outdoor activities. Their outgoing nature has earned them a compliment that they are dogs in a cat’s body. They are, in fact, very obedient; they pay special attention to their training and are quite obedient to their owners. You can expect Ocicats to follow your orders and you can use them for various services. They can harness, fetch water or newspaper and can be taken for the play shows easily as they can follow the human commands without any difficulty. Most of the Ocicats are toy-driven and this is the reason why they are keen at feline agility. These breeds are smart in swimming and even enjoy water. These are one of those smart categories of cats that go straight to human beings and express their affinity towards them and expect to be petted in return. Ocicats are found in different colors and sizes. Normally, there are twelve recognized colors of these cats. Chocolate, blue, lavender, cinnamon, tawny are some common cat colors. Their bodies are spotted and distinctly marked. Most of the spots are arranged in bull’s eye pattern. Like many of its fellow breeds, the hinder legs of Ocicats are bigger than their fore legs. This in fact helps them to maintain the balance of their body and at the same time help them to follow their targets. Generally, these Ocicats are large in size and have an athletic body. Their coat is small and shining. Food habits of Ocicats are quite common like other fellow cats but it is true that Ocicats are extra-ordinarily fond of fish.
