Ragamuffin Cats

The Ragamuffin cats are the most expensive cats of the world that are bred for domestic purposes. A Ragamuffin cat can be adopted in the fourth month but it takes four years for these cats to grow and mature fully.  

These cats have hair like a rabbit’s hair and they have the same domestic nature as dogs or other pet animals have. Ragdoll cat, which is one of the parents of Ragamuffin cats, leaves a great influence on them. They have a long-haired body like Ragdoll cats. These are fairly large in size. A female Ragamuffin cat weights 4.5 to 7 kg and a male cat weights between 7kg to 9 kg.

A Ragamuffin cat is a large cat with a muscular and heavy body. It takes almost four years to reach maturity. With a broad upper body and powerful shoulders it looks like a rectangle since it has a short neck to support the muzzle. The forehead is rounded and the muzzle has two small but obvious nose dips. They have a puffy whisker pad and the cheeks are full which makes it look cute. In addition to that, they have walnut shaped eyes which make a sweet appearance. They have long fur all over the body and hairs grow longer around the neck and the face. The quality of the fur is soft and silky. They have long fur near the stomach and on the legs they have delicate frills. Ragamuffin cats are found in every possible color combination a cat can have.

Ragamuffin cats are found almost in the same color combinations like Ragdoll cats. They also have variety of different colors. The colors are the variants of bright colors like red point, Tortie point and lynx point. They are also found in toetie, tabby, solid, splotched and spotted patterns. They can have eyes of any color; they are even found to be odd-eyed or different colors for different eyes.

Ragamuffin cats are very delicate in nature. They have a nagging tendency and they are very affectionate. They have a rather docile temperament. They love people and love to be around many people. They are not very sporty though they like to play with balls and moving objects and also sometimes like to fetch toys. They like to welcome strangers from the door and they also like to entertain them by various activities. It is not safe for a Ragamuffin cat to roam outside for their nagging nature; it is safe to keep them indoor for their protection. These kinds of cats are born to live in a domestic atmosphere and they are very popular as pets like other categories of cats.

If you are fond of taking cats out for a walk you must have a Ragamuffin cat as your pet. Though they do not have much of road sense, they can be enjoyable company to walk with. They are intelligent enough to get accustomed to the ways of walking on road.
