Ragdoll Cats

The Ragdoll cats are bred in America. They have silky soft fur all over the body. They are of medium length. These cats are known as the most docile and calm among the cat family. They have the habit of limping and relaxing like a soft woolen ball when you pick them up on your lap; thus the name is ideal for them. There is a belief about Ragdoll cats that they are pain resistant. Obviously the belief comes from the soft structure they have. These cats have a strudy body and a large structure and they have proportionate legs. Their furs are similar to the furs of the Siamese cats. A normal adult cat weights 15-20 lbs.

These are muscular, heavy and large cats who are very lazy by nature. They have almost a rectangular shape with a broad upper body and powerful shoulders and it also has a short neck to support the muzzle. The forehead is rounded and the muzzle has two small but obvious nose dips. The puffy whisker pad and the fatty cheeks are their outstanding features that give them a cute look. In addition to that, they have almond shaped eyes which make for a sweet appearance. They have long fur all over the body and it grows longer around the neck and the face. The quality of the fur is very soft and silky. They have long hair near the stomach and on the legs; they have delicate frills of fur. Ragdoll cats are found in every possible color combination a cat can have.

Those who like pets will really like Ragdoll cats since they are extremely cute and obedient by nature. They have a clam and gentle temperament that attracts people. Form the very beginning they love to be with human beings because of their friendly and sociable nature. These cats are extremely affectionate with children and other family members. Of course, they are devoted to the master or the mistress. They are sociable even with the strangers. They love to play with balls and toys and any moving objects. They are so cute by look and nature that they are called puppy cats.

Ragdoll cats are highly intelligent cats. This is evident in each and every move of theirs. They can entertain people with their mischievous acts and nature. They always try to hold the centre of attention of all the people.
