Sphynx

The Sphynx cats are one of the rare breeds of cats. The cats of this breed are characterized by their lack of hair. The most interesting thing is that there is a tremendous demand of these cats among the cat lovers, as the breeders report. 

The Sphynx cats appear to be totally hairless cats. However, appearances can be deceptive. The fact remains that they are never totally without hair. The skin of these cats may be covered with a soft and fine down hardly visible by the naked eye or perceptible to touch. You may also find hair on some of the body parts like the muzzle, the tail, the feet and the ears.

Whenever you touch a Sphynx cat, it seems to be quite warm. The lack of coat is the reason of this heat. The Sphynx cat is not without problems, though the problems are not very serious. The major problem that these cats face is that they sweat too much and the sweat is not soaked due to the lack of hair. They, therefore, need to be given baths at short intervals.

You will have to take enough care of the Sphynx cat if you have one of them in your house as a pet. In addition to giving bath to it at regular intervals, you will also have to clean the ears so that they do not gather dirt. You must also take care that this breed of cats should never be left to stay in the sun for long. Since they are curious by nature, they always tend to go to places which they know little about.

These cats are otherwise of a strong physical structure and medium size. The male Sphynx cats are larger than the female cats. These cats feature an open eyed face, with the eyes round and expressive. The face reflects the intelligence of these cats by which they are characterized. Their facial expression will make you always feel that it wants to say something.

The Sphynx cats have been found to be fond of companionship. They are inquisitive. What is even more extraordinary is that they always want to be at the center of attraction in a group of people. They entertain you in such a way that you cannot but appreciate them and love them for their love for you. They often perform some silly antics so that they are given much attention. If you are interested in taking your cat to the cat show, the best pet you can have is a Sphynx cat.

The Sphynx cats prefer company from all. They like the company of the human being. They are also similarly fond of the companionship of other cats and even of the dogs. The abundance of energy that they feature makes them prone to create mischief which is pretty harmless but quite entertaining for you and your family. It is a pleasure to see them in their true playful element.
